Side table made from live edge slab of Flaming Box Elder Wormy Wood and black resin. This is a species of maple tree that gets attacked by beetles. The beetles eat tunnels through the wood causing a fungus in the wood. The tree sends out its own natural defense to the fungus which causes the red flaming. We spent days cleaning out all the tunnels with dental tools and filled them with resin. The table is sealed with 4 coats of oil buffed to a beautiful satin finish. The legs are 1" x 3" tubular raw steel sealed with wax. The tables are 20" x 19" x 1.25" thick and is 23.25" tall. There is also a matching coffee table available to make this a set.
