New England Beach Treasures 155
This resin art painting is 2'x4' on a wood canvas with a 2"deep frame. There are 3 different layers of resin. The first layer was the opaquest followed by a semitransparent then a transparent layer giving this piece incredible depth. It is a 3D painting containing trinkets gathered from New England beaches. There are pieces of driftwood, shells, stones, sea glass, porcelain, shark teeth, and hundreds of baby Whelk shells washed up on the beach. The 3 crashing waves were done on 3 separate days giving them a realistic 3-dimensional look and feel. This painting was a homage to two beaches that are loaded with treasures that we pick at.
