We are all missing the beach, sunshine, warmth, and hanging out with friends and family. A year of COVID restrictions have many of us feeling a bit isolated and longing for those beach days,
We have started a Resin Art Beach Series to bring a little piece of the beach to your home. The first group of the series is of New England Beaches. The inspiration for these are the beaches of Rhode Island, Maine, and Cape Cod. They depict the rocky coastlines and crashing waves. New England waters can look green on some days and blue green on others depending on the weather. In these paintings we try to capture these changing waters. Some of the paintings may have a more green sea and some may have a more blue sea. We use real beach sand and rocks collected from New England beaches in these. We are working on many different sizes to make these paintings affordable. Check the website frequently, as new pieces are added as soon as they are completed.
Next up in the series will be a grouping of Florida beaches with white Florida sand, shells, shark teeth and aqua-blue-green waters. We have been missing visiting my parents, and walks on the warm, white, soft sand of Sarasota Beach. If we can't get to Sarasota, I'll bring Sarasota to us in paintings.
Stay tuned for more from our Resin Art Beach Series!
We are creating faux exotic stone finishes using resin! These are created by using different pigments and spray paints mixed into the resin. The resin is poured onto the surface and manipulated in different ways to create different patterns, effects and looks. There are endless color combinations that can be used to create your dream. The resin we use can be used to create tabletops, desktops, countertops, and shower panels.
We can create something from scratch like the desk in the photo. This desk is made from MDF and is 1.5" thick x 2' wide x 4' long. We created a chiseled rock face edge on all four edges. It has an elevated shelf that is 3/8" thick x 1' wide x 4' long. We made the legs out of 1" thick metal industrial pipe and gave them a wax finish. This desk was tailored to be ergonomic to the person using it. The height of the desktop, shelf, and crossbar foot rest were all positioned to be the most comfortable working environment for her.
We can also refinish your existing piece of furniture. If you have a table, desk, bureau, or dresser that you love that is in need of some TLC ask us about resin options for the top and paint or stain options for the body.
